Why a dedicated exam timer
Generic clocks and phone timers distract a room. ExamManager’s classroom timer is built for invigilators: large digits, clear status, and controls that stay out of the way until you need them.
Typical flow
- Create or open an exam session with subject name, start time, and duration.
- Start the timer when candidates begin writing.
- Pause or add extra time only when the room rules allow it.
- End the session and mark the paper complete.
Tips for exam day
- Keep the display visible to the invigilator desk and, when useful, a projected student view.
- Prefer one primary timer per room; use multi-exam sessions when papers overlap.
- Agree start and finish signals with staff before the first paper begins.
